Abu Dhabi Duty Free reveals winner of millionaire promotion

Dany Zahra of Lebanon has been awarded a grand prize of $1m in the Sensational Big Ticket draw at Abu Dhabi International airport

Abu Dhabi Duty Free Sensational Big Ticket drawTravel retailer Abu Dhabi Duty Free, operated by DFS Group, held on August 5 the draw for the Sensational Big Ticket promotion at Abu Dhabi International airport, which began in July and offered a grand prize of $1m and 14 other prizes totalling $200,000. The promotion is a special limited edition of the retailer’s usual Big Ticket Draw, a monthly promotion offering Dh1m ($272,250) and other prizes amounting to Dh500,000 ($136,120).

The grand prize winner was Lebanese national Dany Zahra. The draw was held at Abu Dhabi International airport and was overseen by Abu Dhabi Airports Co (ADAC) CEO James Bennett, senior vice-president commercial Dan Cappell and DFS vice-president Glenn Morgan.

Cappell said: “Abu Dhabi Duty Free is once again delighted to partner with DFS, particularly for the Sensational Big Ticket draw. This draw offered the largest grand prize in monetary value to be distributed in one month in ADAC history. Following the great success of the Sensational Big Ticket Draw, and as part of ADAC’s commitment to delivering high-quality initiatives to passengers and the public, ADAC along with DFS, will continue to offer and deliver additional innovative promotions and raffle drawings.”
