The changes follow V&S Absolut Spirits’ acquisition by Pernod Ricard in July

The Absolut Company—formerly V&S Absolut Spirits—has announced a number of management changes following the acquisition of Absolut by Pernod Ricard in July. V&S Absolut Spirits president Ketil Eriksen has been named CEO of The Absolut Company and will be based in the new company’s global head office in Stockholm. Absolut’s production will remain in Åhus in southern Sweden.

Other senior appointments include Andreas Berggren as vice-president commercial; Krister Asplund as vice-president manufacturing; Matthias Aeppli as vice-president marketing; Kicki Alm as vice-president human resources; Paula Eriksson as vice-president corporate communications; Stéphane Longuet as vice-president finance; and Mikael Spångberg as vice-president legal affairs.

Eriksen said: “It’s an honour to continue to be entrusted with the leadership of Absolut vodka, and it feels like an acknowledgment that the strategy we followed in the past years has been a success. With an industrial owner like Pernod Ricard, and with access to their exceptional distribution network in 70 countries, we have all the prerequisites to continue our strong growth.”
