Last year’s ASUTIL delegates in Santiago voted Lima as their preferred location for this year’s event

José Luis Donagaray, secretary general of Latin American trade association ASUTIL, has confirmed to Ravenfox.com that this year’s conference will take place in the Peruvian capital Lima during the first week of September.

Donagaray said: “This is the first time that we are holding the conference in Lima and we are sure the venue will be an attractive one for delegates. It was the destination that received most votes from last year’s delegates in Santiago. We are putting the finishing touches to the conference programme and the social events and we are also finalising a contract with a multinational hotel.

“We will be officially launching the conference at next month’s Duty Free Show of the Americas in Fort Lauderdale. We will be covering items of interest to suppliers and operators and we will examine how the latest security issues are affecting the business in South America.”
