Aeroboutique Sales Group (ASG), the partnership between Inflight Sales Group and Aeroboutique Inflight Retail, will take over the inflight sales programme for Swiss in April. Until now, The Nuance Group has handled the concession.
Under the five-year contract, ASG will provide retail and food for sale on European flights. ISG president Jean-Marcel Rouff told TRW the programme would be changed four times a year, with separate offers for long- and short-haul flights. He said: "We won't sell duty-free on flights under about one hour and 20 minutes. The emphasis will be on value and entertainment. Many airlines are looking at the combination of retail and catering, including Swiss, and most of them will sub-contract this service. The key lies in the back office system and having a sound cash collection system. With our years of experience, we can provide this. Combining food and retail also means involving all the crew, so that will work as an incentive."
