ARI unveils changes to Montreal operations
Aer Rianta International-North America (ARI-NA) is to open a store at the new Pierre Trudeau airport in Montreal following the closure of Mirabel airport later this month
Aer Rianta International-North America (ARI-NA) is to open a temporary duty-free outlet at Pierre Trudeau airport in Montreal when the old Mirabel airport closes later this month. The company is currently building a 1,200sq m (12,912sq ft) permanent store in the international terminal. Scheduled to open in July next year, the store will replace all other duty-free outlets in Montreal.
The company has appointed Philip Eckles as operations director on a two-year contract to help the retailer complete planned changes in Montreal. Eckles has been at ARI for 11 years and has worked in a number of locations, most recently Sofia. He has also represented the retailer in Karachi, Birmingham, Shannon and at the company's former Eurotunnel operation. He will report to ARI-NA retail operations director Bill Maxwell.
