After winning the technical and financial rounds in the bid for the duty-free contract at Pristina airport in Kosovo, the Irish operator is set to win the tender, RavenFox.com understands

Aer Rianta International (ARI) is set to win the duty-free contract at Pristina airport in Kosovo, RavenFox.com understands. The company was ranked first in both the technical and financial bids and is set to formally sign the contract shortly.

On July 8 the airport, run by the Kosovan government under the auspices of the United Nations, opened financial envelopes from four bidders. RavenFox.com understands that ARI faced competition from Provimar, Gebr Heinemann and a Norwegian diplomatic supply company. The ten-year contract is worth approximately €6-7m ($7.1-8.3m) and covers all traditional duty-free goods. The store to be built covers about 1,500-2,000sq ft (140-185sq m).
