Aer Rianta International (ARI) has unveiled a new trading brand for its stores called Runway Duty Free.

The company plans to open a raft of new shops trading under the new name at Moscow Domodedovo airport and elsewhere.

Last week ARI opened a new Swarovski store, its first at the Moscow location. The company also revealed plans to open a new music store and a sunglasses store next month, both under the Runway fascia. And in mid-December the retailer will open a new beauty outlet as well as a general merchandise store offering liquor and tobacco. ARI also has plans for an Irish bar and a juice bar, which will operate under the Runway name.

Runway Duty Free began as ARI's brand at New York JFK airport terminal four, but has been redeveloped for the Russian market. Dufry is the other duty-free operator at Domodedovo, the Russian capital's fast-growing airport.

Full details of ARI's new venture will appear in DFNI November 1.
