APTRA to host Singapore tobacco workshop

5-May-2006

Delegates are urged to attend a workshop on Wednesday May 17 for an update on the campaign to protect duty-free tobacco sales

During the TFWA Asia Pacific show the Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) is to host a workshop on the campaign to preserve sales of duty-free tobacco. The workshop, moderated by global campaign coordinator Keith Spinks, will be held in the Singapore Suntec Centre on Wednesday May 17 at 10am.

The workshop will update delegates on the status of the threat posed to duty-free tobacco in Asia/Pacific as the World Health Organization continues to lobby governments to restrict tobacco marketing and availability. APTRA secretary John Kammerman will brief delegates on ways to support the association's campaign.

More on the fight to protect tobacco sales will appear in a special APTRA report in the May 15 issue of DFNI, distributed at the Singapore show.
