ACI delegates deliver advance boost for Raven Fox Ball
4-Mar-2004
An impromptu auction at last night's ACI Europe Trading Conference gala dinner in Dublin raised Eu800 for Orbis, the beneficiary of this Friday's Raven Fox charity ball. Each year, Orbis helps millions of people afflicted by blindness in developing countries.
Abu Dhabi Duty Free deputy managing director Dan Cappell instigated the auction, for two bottles of Bushmills Millennium Single Malt Irish Whiskey, which was won by Select Service Partner president global business Johann Weinzettl. Other bidders who helped boost the auction takings included Dubai Duty Free's George Horan, Dufry Group's Liz Woodland, ACI Europe conference organiser Paul Hogan and Moodie International's Martin Moodie.
In a further boost to the charity, Select Service Partner is today hosting a raffle for the same prize, with proceeds going to Orbis.
Raven Fox thanks everyone who contributed so generously to the auction.
