The airports group is to launch the Airport Retail Benchmarking initiative (ARBi) at the ACI Europe Airport Trading conference in Zürich in March
ACI Europe has unveiled details of a new study aiming to establish benchmarks for Europe's airport retail industry. The Airport Retail Benchmarking initiative (ARBi) will invite airports and concessionaires to participate in anonymous research to be collected during the ACI Europe Airport Trading conference in Zürich on March 9-11. The findings will be delivered to conference attendees after the event.
ACI Europe director-general Roy Griffins said: ?Airports have always been intrigued to know how well their non-aeronautical revenue performance compares with other airports in their size category. ARBi delivers to airports a wealth of information, ranging from low-cost passenger conversion rates to car park revenue performance. This data will enable airports and concessionaires to see where they can improve performance and where they may in fact be setting standards.?
The ACI Trading conference will feature presentations from TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen, BAA global airport retail director Mark Riches, TBI executive director Paul Kehoe and Dubai Duty Free deputy managing director George Horan.
