As expected, Argentinian president Nestor Kirchner has annulled the decree signed by his predecessor Eduardo Duhalde reducing the canon to be paid by airport authority Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 (AA2000) to the government. The original decree, signed by Duhalde five days before he left office in May, changed the basis of the initial concession contract from a fixed annual fee to a sum depending on passenger traffic. The modification would have meant cost savings of between Ps65-70m ($22.4m-24.1m) for the airport operator this year.Bookmark This Article
