InterBaires pins hopes on visitors as crisis deepens

ARGENTINA. The devaluation of the peso last month is taking its toll on overseas travel and duty-free spend among Argentinians, hitting operator InterBaires hard. But ceo Randy Emch told DFNI there could be opportunities for duty-free if imported luxury goods become scarce and more expensive on the domestic market.

This means some local prices are lower than in duty-free, eroding duty-free price savings.
