Organisers of the inaugural Asia/Pacific Airline Retail Conference 2011 (ARC) have revealed a positive response to the event which took place earlier this month at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Macau. The supporting exhibition featured established names in travel-retail and a number of companies reaching out to airlines for the first time and looking to benefit from the numerous networking, exhibition and social events.
Exhibitor Jonathan Corbett, director of UK toy supplier Wandering monkey said: "ARC is the best place for companies like mine to do business with airlines. The consistently high quality of delegates ―and the interest they show in the exhibits― makes ARC one of the most valuable shows I attend each year.”
Capella Industries CEO Jonas Dahlgren added: "ARC is a fantastic event, where we can meet our existing and potential customers in a small and friendly facility. The dinner in the evening is also great, as you can meet old and new friends in a relaxed atmosphere.”
Exhibition manager Mike Sawicki said he is satisfied with feedback from existing companies who supported the event. "It just goes to show that we are delivering exactly the type of event that both airlines and suppliers need,” he said.
The next ARC will take place in London in June.
